Plan a Visit

Are you planning to visit Mount Auburn Church as a first time guest? We know it can be a little scary to visit a church for the first time so we want to help you know what to expect. Here are common questions people ask about Mount Auburn Church. Let us know if you have a question that isn’t answered here, we would be glad to help you. Just send your question to [email protected].

What time is service?

Our Stones Crossing Campus (3100 West Stones Crossing Road, Greenwood, IN) has a traditional service at 9 am and a contemporary service at 10:30 am. Our Trafalgar Campus (375 Pleasant Street, Trafalgar, IN) has one traditional service at 10:30 am.

What is worship like?

Every Sunday as we gather, we begin by lifting high the name of Jesus through singing. Our traditional service is composed of a choir and handbells, featuring classic hymns and church liturgy. Our contemporary service begins with our praise team singing modern Christian worship songs. Both services move into a time of prayer and reading of God's Word with a sermon following. We take communion once a month. Though there is a time of offering, as our guest you are under no obligation to give. You will feel no pressure from us.

What should I wear?

At Mount Auburn, we believe God is concerned with your heart and not your outward appearance. For this reason, you can wear whatever you would like to our services, just bring a heart seeking the Lord!

Is there a place for my kids?

Mount Auburn provides Bible-rich, Christ-centered teaching for children from birth through 5th grade during our traditional service. In our contemporary service we only offer children's church for children who are potty-trained up to 5th grade. We want your kids to love church and grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. To check your children in on Sunday morning, please make your way to the Welcome Center in the main hall (enter door 4 or 9). Here, your child will receive an identification sticker and be greeted by a children's ministry leader.

What about older students?

Mount Auburn serves junior high through high school. We meet weekly on Sunday mornings at 9 am in rooms 131 and 132 and Sunday evenings from 5 to 7 pm for large group worship, including singing and teaching from the Word of God. Contact Jeremy for more information at [email protected].

Wednesday Morning Women’s Bible Study

Have you ever prayed for Peace? Well, Peace is a person. Life moves at a break-neck speed. Worry and fear are constant companions. Jesus offers us a different kind of life. He offers peace. He is peace. This 7-week study on the gospel of John will encourage us to slow down and linger with the Living Word. The peace Jesus offers is not an ease of circumstances but a stillness of the soul. As a result, you’ll grow in intimacy with Him and learn to rest in His peace.

Friendship Circle

The Friendship Circle focuses on serving youth and women in Johnson and Marion Counties while volunteering for events at Mount Auburn in support of the Children and Youth Ministry.  In 2023 we supported collection of school supplies for the United Way of Johnson County Fast Track Program, donated 150+ pairs of socks to Salvation Army of Marion County’s Back to School program, donated hygiene products to Perry Meridian High School Key Club in support of a Marion County domestic violence shelter, made ‘no-sew’ fleece winter scarves for those in need in Johnson County, and prepared and served meals for Mount Auburn Youth Group and Youth Alpha Study Group. Please join us if you have a heart for service in these areas and help our group branch out and share God’s love while serving.  All generations are welcomed.
