Visiting a church for the first time can feel unfamiliar. We want to make your first Sunday at Mount Auburn Church as comfortable and welcoming as possible.
Whether you have attended church throughout your life, are returning after time away, or are exploring faith for the first time, there is a place for you here.
Below, you will find answers to common questions about worship, what to wear, and what is available for children and students.

Mount Auburn offers two worship services each Sunday:
Traditional Worship
Sundays at 9:00 a.m.
Contemporary Worship
Sundays at 10:30 a.m.

What is worship like?
Every Sunday as we gather, we begin by lifting high the name of Jesus through singing. Our traditional service is composed of a choir and handbells, featuring classic hymns and church liturgy. Our contemporary service begins with our praise team singing modern Christian worship songs. Both services move into a time of prayer and reading of God’s Word with a sermon following. We take communion once a month. Though there is a time of offering, as our guest you are under no obligation to give. You will feel no pressure from us.
What should I wear?
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
You will see people dressed in everything from jeans and casual clothing to more traditional Sunday attire. What matters most is that you feel welcome and are able to focus on worship.
Is there a place for my kids?
Yes. Mount Auburn provides Bible-based, Christ-centered ministry for children from birth through fifth grade during the 10:30 a.m. service.
When you arrive, visit the Welcome Center in the main hallway. The easiest access is through Door 4 or Door 9.
A Children’s Ministry leader will welcome your family and help you complete the secure KidCheck process. Each child will receive an identification sticker to help ensure a safe check-in and pickup experience.
We want children to enjoy coming to church, learn about God’s love, and grow in a personal relationship with Jesus.
What is available for students?
Students in grades 6–12 meet on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. in Room 131.
Mount Auburn Student Ministry gives middle and high school students a place to study Scripture, ask questions, build friendships, and grow in their relationship with Jesus.
What Will Happen When I Arrive?
You are welcome to come in, find a seat, and participate at your own comfort level.
Our team is available to help you:
- Find the worship space
- Check in your children
- Locate the Student Ministry room
- Learn about ministries and upcoming events
- Answer questions about Mount Auburn
You will not be singled out or asked to introduce yourself publicly.
Why Mount Auburn?
