Throughout Mount Auburn’s history, God has used faithful servants in many different ways to support His work around the world. Some are called to go, while others serve behind the scenes—encouraging, organizing, and helping others answer that same call.
For more than forty years, Sandy and Jim Newcomer have been part of the Mount Auburn family. Together, they raised their three children within this church community, building a life rooted in faith, service, and fellowship.
Before retiring in January 2026, Sandy faithfully served for more than twelve years at the headquarters of One Mission Society (OMS). As an Administrative Assistant with Men for Missions, she supported both the United States and International offices through a variety of responsibilities, including communications, event and meeting planning, coordinating short-term mission trips, and assisting with special Men for Missions projects as needed.
Through her work, Sandy found great joy in participating in the Great Commission and witnessing the life-changing impact of missions around the world. While much of her ministry took place behind the scenes, her efforts helped equip and encourage others as they shared the Gospel in communities near and far.
Sandy remains deeply grateful for the encouragement, friendship, and support she received from the Mount Auburn family throughout her years of service with OMS.
