Rhonda was a missionary with One Mission Society (OMS) for thirteen years, serving in Missionary Services at the headquarters here in Greenwood. She served as the liaison between OMS and missionaries around the world, especially in countries where Christian ministries are restricted. Rhonda aided new and furloughing missionaries in raising funds for their ministries.
Rhonda also served on prayer teams traveling to Mexico and Brazil. In Mexico, the team prayed over a marriage encounter weekend. Rhonda witnessed several marriages saved through God and many others strengthened. The ministry in Brazil was comprised of missionaries from several countries. Once again, totally orchestrated by God, the team witnessed several decisions for Christ.
Rhonda also served on a short-term work team to Guatemala, where time was spent digging ditches, mixing concrete by hand, tying earthquake proof rebar, and enjoying the fellowship with Guatemalan teammates. The work team also enlarged a school kitchen, where they also enjoyed playing soccer with the school children.
At Mount Auburn, Rhonda sings in the choir and serves on the prayer team. The prayer team offers individual prayer to congregation members at the prayer altar in the Courts and the Porch by the cafe. The prayer team also travel to members’ homes to pray for them if they are unable to come to church. Rhonda also attends the Howard Life Group.
